In doing research for I Just Ran: Percy Williams, World's Fastest Human, I collected far more material than could be included in a single volume. This is one of the realities of writing a book: that a mass of interesting things that took considerable effort to collect have to be figuratively left on the cutting room floor. Rather than leave this material mouldering in a box in my basement, I've decided to post some of it here, organized in chronological order. There are photos, letters, newspaper clippings, diary entries, cables--all sorts of things relating to Percy's life. I hope you find them as fascinating as I do.

Much of this material is from the Percy Williams Collection at the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum in Vancouver. I owe the Hall and in particular curator Jason Beck a special debt of thanks for granting me access to its valuable collection.
