TOPSY THE CIRCUS ELEPHANT (HOME)

Before setting out to write the novel Bad Elephant Far Stream, i did a great deal of research on the real elephant Topsy, on the Forepaugh Circus, and on circus elephants in general in the nineteenth century. Here's a sampling of some of the material I collected and used to create the story.
